National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women 2025
The Canada, BC, Okanagan Nation Alliance and UBC Flags at UBC Okanagan and the Canada flag (at Flagpole Plaza) and the BC, Musqueam and UBC flags (temporarily relocated to the East Mall Entrance and Plaza at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre) at UBC Vancouver will be lowered on Friday, December 6 to mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
Transgender Awareness Week and Transgender Day of Remembrance 2025
The transgender flag will be flown in place of the UBC flag from November 13 to 20 in observance of Transgender Awareness Week from November 13 to 19 and Transgender Day of Remembrance on November 20. Additionally, the flags will be lowered on Thursday, November 20, including the Canada, BC, Okanagan Nation Alliance and transgender flags at UBC Okanagan, and the Canada flag (at Flag Pole Plaza) and the BC, Musqueam and transgender flags (temporarily relocated to the East Mall Entrance and Plaza at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre) on the UBC Vancouver campus.
Indigenous Veterans Day and Remembrance Day 2025
The Canada, BC, Okanagan Nation Alliance and UBC flags at UBC Okanagan and the Canada flag (at Flag Pole Plaza) and the BC, Musqueam and UBC flags (temporarily relocated to the East Mall Entrance and Plaza at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre) at UBC Vancouver, will be lowered on Saturday, November 8 and Tuesday, November 11.
