The Canada, BC, Okanagan Nation Alliance and UBC Flags at UBC Okanagan and the BC, Musqueam and UBC flags on the UBC Vancouver Campus (temporarily relocated to the East Mall Entrance and Plaza at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre) will be lowered on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in remembrance.
Dr. David McLean, O.B.C., LL.D., passed away on January 23, 2025. Dr. McLean served on the UBC Board of Governors for six years and was chair from 1983 to 1985. He received an honorary degree from UBC in 1994.
