OK-CMS
The Okanagan Content Management System (OK-CMS) is UBCO’s WordPress content management system, developed and supported in partnership with UBC Okanagan IT.
The OK-CMS provides a shared foundation for UBCO websites, supporting consistent design, functionality and web governance across university web properties.
Moving to Elementor
UBC Okanagan has begun transitioning websites in the current OK-CMS to Elementor, introducing a more flexible and modern approach to building and managing web content.
The updated platform supports greater flexibility while maintaining a consistent experience across UBCO websites.
Web guidelines and resources
UBC Okanagan’s web guidelines and governance standards support a consistent, accessible and audience-centred web presence across the OK-CMS.
Guidance and resources help web managers, administrators and coordinators create and maintain high-quality websites that reflect the UBC brand, meet accessibility and institutional requirements, and make content easy to find and navigate.
Best practices for managing UBCO websites
Best practices cover content and page structure, accessibility, user experience (UX), search engine optimization (SEO), responsive design, navigation, media management and the effective use of Elementor.
