The Canada, BC, Okanagan Nation Alliance and UBC flags at UBC Okanagan and the Canada flag (at Flag Pole Plaza) and the BC, Musqueam, and UBC flags (temporarily relocated to the East Mall Entrance and Plaza at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre) on the UBC Vancouver campus, are lowered on Saturday, November 11, in recognition of Remembrance Day.
All UBC Okanagan students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to attend a ceremony in their local community to honour and remember all those who served in times of war, military conflict and peace. If you are in Vancouver on November 11, you are invited to attend the ceremony at the War Memorial Gym.
