Remembrance Day

The Canada, BC, Okanagan Nation Alliance and UBC Flags at UBC Okanagan campus and the BC, Musqueam and UBC flags (temporarily relocated to the East Mall Entrance and Plaza at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre) on the UBC Vancouver campus will be lowered on Friday, November 11, in recognition of Remembrance Day.

The UBC Remembrance Day ceremony is being held as a hybrid event in the War Memorial Gym on the Vancouver campus. This year’s ceremony will include participation and recognition of UBC’s Vancouver and Okanagan campuses and will feature short readings, remarks from special guests and musical performances by UBC’s School of Music.

All students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to attend the ceremony to honour and remember all those who served in times of war, military conflict and peace.
