Flags on UBC’s Okanagan campus will be lowered on Friday, September 30, 2016, in memory of Julianne (Juli) Rae Lion, who passed away while visiting her family home in Kamloops on September 24. Juli started the Bachelor of Human Kinetics program this year. Our condolences to the Lion family, Juli’s classmates, friends, teachers and all who knew her.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, October 1st, 2016 at 3:30 pm in the Kamloops Calvary Temple. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kamloops Raven program or Options Okanagan Treatment Centre in Kelowna. Juli also loved animals, so a donation to the SPCA would be appropriate.
