The Okanagan campus community mourns the passing on Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, of Lauren Krueger following a short, sudden illness.
A first-year student at UBC Okanagan and Trinity Western University, Lauren was a graduate of Kelowna Christian School and had been living at home with her family in Kelowna.
The Health and Wellness space (UNC 337, on the third floor of the University Centre) is available to students, faculty and staff who wish to gather for quiet reflection and support during this difficult time.
Flags on campus will be lowered in memory of Lauren on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015.
A Memorial Service remembering Lauren will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 11 a.m. at Willow Park Church, 439 Highway 33 West, Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Kelowna Gospel Mission, P.O. Box 22087, Capri P.O., Kelowna, BC, V1Y 9N9.
