Flags at UBC’s Okanagan campus will be lowered on Friday, July 10, 2015, in remembrance of Dr. Daniel Murray, Associate Professor of Physics.
Dr. Murray passed away on June 13, 2015.
Born in Vancouver in 1962, Dr. Murray grew up in Richmond, BC, and attended Simon Fraser University and earned a Gordon M. Shrum Scholarship. He went on to the University of Guelph where he completed his PhD in solid state theoretical physics.
Dr. Murray taught at Okanagan University College, and in 2005 joined the Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences at UBC Okanagan.
No flowers by request, but donations in his memory may be made to the Coast Mental Health Foundation (www.coastmentalhealth.com)
