Flags at UBC’s Okanagan campus will be lowered on Monday, January 12, 2015, in remembrance of student River Timothy Sidley of Rossland, BC
River passed away suddenly at the Bamfield Marine Science Centre on December 9, 2014. He was in his fifth year of a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Zoology.
An accomplished soccer player, River played on several teams at home and UBC Okanagan, including the International Football Club. He had found his life passion at the Marine Station and it is through The River Timothy Sidley BMSC Scholarship Award the family wishes to honour his life.
