Flags on the Okanagan campus are lowered today, Thursday, Mar. 29, 2012 in memory of student Jessica Eaman, 26, of Vernon, BC, who passed away on Mar. 16.
Jessica was a fourth-year student in Community, Culture and Global Studies, in the Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences. She was an accomplished student who had planned to begin a Master of Arts degree after graduating this spring. Jessica was also an avid cross-country skier who worked with young skiers at Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre near Vernon.
We extend condolences to the Eaman family, and Jessica’s many friends and colleagues.
A celebration of Jessica’s life will be held on Sunday, April 1, at 3:30 p.m. in the Schubert Centre (3505-30th Avenue) in Vernon.
