Devyn Gale

Flags on the UBC Okanagan campus will be lowered today, Friday, July 14, 2023, in memory of student Devyn Gale, who lost her life battling a wildfire near Revelstoke on Thursday, July 13. Devyn was in her third year of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Our sincere condolences to Devyn’s family, friends and colleagues.

National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism 2023

The Canada, BC, Okanagan Nation Alliance and UBC flags at UBC Okanagan, and the Canada flag (at Flag Pole Plaza) and the BC, Musqueam, and UBC flags (temporarily relocated to the East Mall Entrance and Plaza at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre) on the UBC Vancouver campus, are lowered on June 23, 2022, to mark the National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism.
