The Canada, BC, Okanagan Nation Alliance and UBC flags at UBC Okanagan, and the Canada flag (at Flag Pole Plaza) and the BC, Musqueam and UBC flags (temporarily relocated to the East Mall Entrance and Plaza at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre) at UBC Vancouver are lowered until February 17, 2026, to mark the tragic deaths that occurred in Tumbler Ridge, BC on February 10, 2026.
An online book of condolences is available for signing until end of day on Friday, February 20.
